Pakistan, Oct. 25 -- Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Pakistan, Alisher Tukhtaev, emphasized easing travel to strengthen tourism and cultural ties. He highlighted the historic Silk Route that long connected the peoples of both nations. Tukhtaev said restoring this route would mark a milestone in deepening cultural exchanges and mutual understanding.

The ambassador introduced Hamid Mahmood Chaudhry as Uzbekistan's Tourism Brand Ambassador in Pakistan. Tukhtaev invited Pakistanis to visit Uzbekistan's historic cities, including Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva. He said these cities reflect shared Islamic heritage, history, and values, serving as living symbols of spiritual and cultural connections.
