Pakistan, July 3 -- The Pentagon revealed on Wednesday that recent US airstrikes have significantly damaged Iran's nuclear programme, setting it back by as much as two years. The strikes, carried out on June 22, targeted three key nuclear facilities using powerful bunker-buster bombs and Tomahawk cruise missiles.
Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said intelligence assessments within the Department of Defense estimate a delay of "one to two years" in Iran's nuclear progress. He described the facilities as "completely obliterated," echoing US President Donald Trump's earlier comments on the mission's success.
