Pakistan, July 7 -- In a rare legal showdown, university professors across the US are taking former President Donald Trump's immigration policies to trial, accusing the government of targeting pro-Palestinian voices. The two-week non-jury trial begins Monday in Boston and will examine whether the Trump-era crackdown on international students and faculty violated First Amendment rights.

The lawsuit follows the arrest of Mahmoud Khalil, a Columbia University graduate, who was detained in June under policies that allegedly target students critical of Israel.
