Pakistan, July 28 -- The United States and China have restarted trade talks in Stockholm, with hopes of extending a temporary pause on steep tariffs. The 90-day truce, which reduced US tariffs to 30% and China's to 10%, is set to expire on August 12. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is meeting Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng to discuss future terms, while pressure builds globally as other countries also face looming tariff hikes.
