Pakistan, Feb. 9 -- Linguistics is a relatively young academic discipline in Pakistan. Admissions in this field are offered in almost every university, and thousands of graduates are produced each year. For most of them, teaching often remains the default professional career. This raises a fundamental question: what are the real-world contexts in which linguistics has made an unexpected and transformative impact?
Globally, linguistics has long moved beyond the classroom.
