Pakistan, Jan. 23 -- Authorities in Kohat have directed undocumented Afghans to leave the district voluntarily within the stipulated deadline under the federal government's repatriation policy, warning that strict legal action will follow in case of non-compliance.

The directive was conveyed during a jirga held with Afghan maliks and community elders on Thursday. Addressing the gathering, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Baydar Bakhsh said undocumented residents had been given a final opportunity to return voluntarily, stressing that the government's policy would be implemented without ambiguity.
