Pakistan, Aug. 10 -- Ukraine's military announced on Sunday that it had successfully recaptured the village of Bezsalivka in the Sumy region from Russian forces, reversing recent territorial gains made by Moscow's troops.
According to the Ukrainian general staff, soldiers "liberated and completely cleared" the area of Russian troops during intense fighting. The statement further reported that 18 Russian soldiers were "eliminated" in the battle for control of the village.
Bezsalivka is located on the frontline in northern Ukraine, approximately 20 kilometres west of the heaviest fighting. This area remains a critical point of conflict between the two armies in the Sumy region.
