Pakistan, July 9 -- The United Kingdom has warned Israel of possible further action if it backs out of Gaza ceasefire talks. British Foreign Secretary David Lammy made the statement during a parliamentary committee meeting on foreign affairs. He said recent remarks by Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, suggesting the relocation of Gaza's population to the south, could derail ongoing negotiations with Hamas.

Lammy stressed that such comments could seriously damage peace efforts. He warned that if Israel refuses a ceasefire or escalates tensions, the UK will consider additional measures. "Yes, we will take more actions against Israel if the ceasefire falls through," he stated when asked directly about future steps.
