Pakistan, July 11 -- LONDON - Britain and France have reached a landmark agreement to launch a pilot programme that will allow the UK to send back some migrants who arrive in small boats across the English Channel. The deal, announced Thursday by Prime Minister Keir Starmer and President Emmanuel Macron in London, aims to curb illegal migration and strengthen border cooperation.
Under the new "one in, one out" policy, the UK will return a limited number of migrants to France, while accepting an equal number of individuals with valid asylum claims. Starmer said the move marks a major shift in policy and signals that migrants entering illegally can no longer expect to stay.
