Pakistan, July 14 -- DUBAI - Temperatures soared to a blistering 50.2degC in the UAE on Monday, even as several areas experienced unexpected rainfall, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM). The intense heat was recorded in Al Dhaid, Sharjah, at 2pm, making it one of the hottest days of the season.
Meanwhile, the lowest temperature of the day stood at 27.1degC, recorded early morning in Damtha, Al Ain, at around 5am. Despite the extreme weather, light to moderate rain surprised residents in areas like Sharjah, Fujairah, and Khor Fakkan.
