Pakistan, June 21 -- Two police personnel were martyred in a targeted gun attack on Friday evening while they were dining at a local hotel in the jurisdiction of the IDPS police station in Swabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The victims were identified as Constable Jamaluddin and Zahid, who served as a police driver. According to initial reports, the attackers opened fire at close range and fled the scene before police reinforcements could arrive. Police officials have launched a full-scale investigation, and search operations are underway to trace the assailants.

Witnesses reported panic at the hotel as gunfire erupted. Security in the area has been heightened, and nearby entry and exit points have been sealed.
