Pakistan, July 15 -- Two more intra-court appeals were filed in the Supreme Court (SC) on Monday, challenging the apex court's verdict in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) judges transfer case.
The Karachi Bar Association and PTI leader Shoaib Shaheen, in their appeals, said that the SC failed to make a correct interpretation of the constitution in the case.
They further argued that there was no concept of permanent transfer of a judge in the constitution, and it was only the judicial commission, which had the authority to make appointments to vacant seats of judges. They further said that the observation made by the apex court that a vacant seat could be filled through the transfer of a judge was against the constitution.
