Pakistan, July 29 -- US President Donald Trump has given Russia a fresh deadline of 10 to 12 days to make progress in ending the war in Ukraine. He warned that if no steps are taken, the United States will impose sanctions on Russia and countries that continue buying its exports. Trump made the announcement while meeting UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Scotland.
Trump expressed disappointment with Russian President Vladimir Putin and decided to shorten a previous 50-day deadline. "We don't see any progress being made," he told reporters. He added that there was no reason to wait longer if the outcome already seems clear. Trump emphasized that sanctions and possibly tariffs would be imposed if his demands are not met.
