Washington - In a surprising address to senior U.S. military generals, U.S. President Donald Trump praised Pakistan's Field Marshal Asim Munir for his critical role in preventing a possible nuclear conflict between Pakistan and India.

Speaking at the Department of Defense, Trump said he had ended seven wars during his presidency and had just resolved one more recently. Among those, he claimed the Pakistan-India conflict had the potential to escalate into nuclear war. He emphasized using trade diplomacy to de-escalate tensions and push both nations toward a peace agreement.
