Pakistan, Oct. 22 -- US President Donald Trump announced Tuesday that his planned meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin has been put on hold, saying he did not want it to be a "waste of time." The two leaders were expected to meet in Budapest, Hungary, to discuss the ongoing war in Ukraine. However, following a phone call between US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, the decision was made to postpone the talks. Trump explained that he wanted to ensure any meeting would produce real results, not just photo opportunities or empty promises.
