Pakistan, July 31 -- US President Donald Trump has imposed sanctions on seven companies based in India for conducting oil trade with Iran. The decision is part of Washington's broader crackdown on entities involved in Iran's energy sector. These companies are reportedly among 20 global firms facing similar penalties for violating US sanctions.
According to American media, the US claims Iran uses the income from its oil trade to destabilize the Middle East and suppress its own people. The US government believes that limiting Iran's oil revenue will weaken its influence in the region and reduce internal oppression. As part of this action, sanctions have also been placed on 10 ships linked to these trades.
