Pakistan, July 11 -- WASHINGTON - US President Donald Trump announced that the United States will now supply weapons to Ukraine through NATO, with the alliance covering the full cost of the military aid. The new approach aims to strengthen Ukraine's defense while sharing financial responsibility with allies.
Speaking to NBC News, Trump revealed that weapons would be sent to NATO, which would then deliver them to Ukraine. "We're sending weapons to NATO, and NATO is paying 100% for them," Trump said. He also hinted at a "major statement" on Russia coming Monday, though he didn't share details.
