Pakistan, May 18 -- A devastating fire broke out in a multi-story building in Hyderabad, India, claiming the lives of 17 people, including six children under the age of five. The incident has left the local community in shock.

According to Indian media, the fire started due to a short circuit on the ground floor of the building, which housed a jewelry store. The upper floors were residential, with multiple families living in the building.

Witnesses reported that the flames quickly spread from the ground level to the upper floors, engulfing the entire structure within minutes. The intense heat and smoke made escape difficult for many residents, especially those on the higher floors.
