Pakistan, July 7 -- Thousands of excited visitors crowded the grand opening of China's first Legoland resort in Shanghai, despite a severe heatwave gripping the region. The resort, built with over 85 million Lego bricks, quickly sold out of tickets as families and Lego fans lined up to explore more than 75 rides, performances, and attractions spread across 300,000 square meters.

Even with temperatures soaring above 37 degrees Celsius, visitors remained enthusiastic. The Shanghai meteorological observatory issued an orange alert, the second-highest heat warning, yet guests praised the cheerful staff and opening day giveaways like wearable Lego mitts. "The excitement and energy made the heat bearable," said Cathy Yin, a local resident.
