Pakistan, Feb. 11 -- LOS ANGELES - Universal Pictures has officially announced a release date for the highly anticipated The Mummy sequel, reuniting franchise favorites Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz, sending fans into a frenzy. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on May 19, 2028.

Fraser returns to the series for the first time in two decades, following Tomb of the Dragon Emperor in 2008.
