Pakistan, Oct. 6 -- Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid has said Afghanistan will never hand over Bagram Airbase to the United States under any circumstances. In an interview with Sky News, he firmly rejected any plans to allow U.S. forces back on Afghan soil. "Afghans will not give their land to anyone," he stated, emphasizing national sovereignty.

His comments come amid rising tension following U.S. President Donald Trump's remarks threatening "serious consequences" if Afghanistan does not return control of Bagram. Trump had recently said he intends to reclaim the airbase and military equipment left behind during the U.S. withdrawal in 2021. The Taliban has responded with strong opposition.
