Pakistan, July 24 -- The United Nations has accused the Taliban of committing serious human rights violations against Afghan returnees who were recently forced to return from Iran and Pakistan. These violations include torture, threats to life, arbitrary arrests, and detention, especially targeting women, former officials, media workers, and civil society members. The UN expressed deep concern over the safety and dignity of those being sent back to a country still facing a deep humanitarian crisis.
