Pakistan, Oct. 13 -- The Livestock Department of Multan Division has played a pivotal role in protecting and rescuing animals during the recent floods, showcasing exceptional performance and commitment to animal welfare.

According to Director Livestock Multan Division, Dr. Mahmood Ijaz Gorsi, the total livestock population in the division stands at 3,153,602 large animals and 1,922,305 small animals. During the floods, 809,971 animals were directly affected, but thanks to the timely intervention of the department, extensive losses were prevented.
