Pakistan, April 19 -- A strong earthquake shook Islamabad and various cities in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Tremors were notably felt in Rawalpindi, Lahore, and others. People rushed out of their homes and offices in panic. Many recited prayers for safety as they evacuated.
The International Seismological Center reported the earthquake's magnitude at 5.9 and a depth of 69 kilometers. Tremors reached distant areas like Srinagar and Jalalabad, Afghanistan. Meanwhile, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab confirmed similar readings but noted a deeper epicenter of 94 kilometers.
