Pakistan, July 1 -- The Legal Aid Society (LAS), in partnership with the Sindh Local Government Department, the Sindh Human Rights Commission (SHRC), and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), convened a multi-stakeholder roundtable to explore practical reforms in Sindh's marriage registration system. Under the Aawaz II programme, supported by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), all key stakeholders are working collaboratively to ensure the implementation of the Sindh Child Marriage Restraint Act (SCMRA) 2013, and to develop targeted interventions aimed at improving existing marriage registration processes.
