Pakistan, July 2 -- Australia's batting lineup is set to receive a major boost as veteran batter Steve Smith returns for the second Test against the West Indies in Grenada, starting Thursday.

Smith, who missed the first Test due to a dislocated finger sustained during the World Test Championship final, has rejoined the squad at the National Cricket Stadium. He is expected to replace Josh Inglis, who struggled with scores of 5 and 12 in the series opener.

"Anytime you add 10,000 runs back into the line-up, you're going to be pretty happy with it," said Australia's wicketkeeper Alex Carey. "He seems confident and ready, and his experience will strengthen the group."
