Pakistan, May 9 -- A Sri Lankan military helicopter crashed into the Maduru Oya reservoir on Thursday, killing six personnel and injuring six others. The Bell 212 aircraft was carrying 12 individuals, including members of the Special Forces and the Air Force, when it went down during a routine training flight. The crew was reportedly preparing for an upcoming passing-out parade.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing the helicopter flying at a low altitude before it suddenly lost control and crashed into the water. Rescue teams were dispatched immediately and managed to recover the bodies of the deceased and transport the injured to local hospitals.
