Pakistan, Oct. 13 -- South Africa ended Day 2 of the first Test against Pakistan at 216 for 6 in Lahore. They are still 162 runs behind Pakistan's first innings total of 378. The Proteas lost wickets regularly throughout the day and failed to build strong partnerships. Pakistan's bowlers, especially Nauman Ali, kept tight control over the game. The Test is part of a two-match series.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan resumed their innings at 313 for 5, with Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha at the crease. Rizwan added 13 runs before getting out for 75. Salman fell just short of a century, scoring 93 before being dismissed. Nauman Ali and Sajid Khan went back to the pavilion without scoring. Pakistan's innings folded at 378 runs.
