Sofia Vergara, the beloved star of Modern Family, missed the 77th Emmy Awards due to a sudden medical emergency. The actress, 53, revealed her absence through an Instagram post the day after the event, sharing photos from the hospital.

In her post, Vergara explained she had to cancel last minute because of a severe eye allergy that caused her left eye to swell. She apologized to her fans, saying, "Didn't make it to the Emmys but made it to the ER." The post included videos showing her rinsing her eye at the hospital and resting in a bed.
