Pakistan, June 17 -- The Pakistan Billiards & Snooker Association (PBSA) has made an urgent appeal to the federal government for the release of long-pending special grants. Despite achieving international success, including a gold medal at the IBSF World Men's Snooker Championship in Doha in November 2024, the association claims it has received no financial support since July last year.

In a press release issued on Tuesday, PBSA warned that Pakistan's participation in major upcoming international snooker events is at risk. The association stated that it is entering the new snooker season (2025-2026) while facing a serious financial crisis, and it may not be able to sustain operations without immediate funding.
