BEIJING, Oct. 2 -- Italy's Jannik Sinner stormed to his 21st career title on Wednesday, crushing American teenager Learner Tien 6-2, 6-2 in the China Open final, while women's top seed Iga Swiatek suffered a shock exit in the last 16.
The 24-year-old Sinner, who first won in Beijing on his debut in 2023, delivered a dominant performance in just 72 minutes, firing 10 aces to dismantle the world number 52. With Carlos Alcaraz sidelined by injury, Sinner now has a clear shot at reclaiming the world No. 1 ranking before the season ends.
