Pakistan, Aug. 6 -- Sindh's provincial government has announced it will exempt solar energy from taxes to encourage clean and affordable power, said Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah. He described solar power as a sustainable resource vital for the province's energy future.

At the sixth meeting of the FPCCI Energy Committee, Minister Shah highlighted Sindh's shift toward renewable energy. He explained that affordable electricity is already being supplied to K-Electric from the Nooriabad Power Plant, alongside hybrid and solar parks, with plans to increase cheap power sources further.
