Sindh IG Ghulam Nabi Memon has ordered an inquiry into four DSPs over serious allegations of misconduct. The officers face charges including land grabbing, smuggling facilitation, extortion, and links to the parking mafia. DIG Tanveer Alam Odho has been appointed as the inquiry officer, with a report due by September 26.
The DSPs under investigation are Aurangzeb Khattak (Sohrab Goth), Asif Munir (Kalakot), Shabbir Ahmed (Kharadar), and Zafar Iqbal (Eidgah). Khattak allegedly aided smuggling and grabbed land, while Munir reportedly extorted drug dealers and parking mafias. Ahmed and Iqbal are accused of collecting illegal payments from vendors and operating unlawful parking schemes.
