Pakistan, July 8 -- KARACHI - The Sindh government has formed a five-member inquiry committee to investigate the tragic collapse of a residential building in Lyari's Baghdadi area that claimed 27 lives. The decision comes amid growing public concern over unsafe structures in the city.

According to the official notification issued by the Chief Secretary of Sindh, Karachi Commissioner Hassan Naqvi has been appointed as the chairman of the inquiry committee. Other members include Special Secretary Local Government Ayesha Hameed, Director Complaints Nadeem Ahmed, and Deputy Director of Sindh Building Control Authority Asif Ali Langa.
