Pakistan, May 17 -- Sindh is facing a severe water shortage. According to the Sindh Irrigation Department, the water supply is down by 54.5%. This shortage has led to a lack of drinking water in many areas. At Guddu Barrage, the water supply is just 57,200 cusecs, while the demand is much higher at 105,000 cusecs.

The situation at the barrages is critical. Sukkur Barrage has a 17% water shortage, and Kotri Barrage is facing a 62% drop in water. Many canals are now closed, leaving areas without access to water. The shortage is also affecting agriculture, with farmers unable to sow crops.
