The Sindh government has decided to start distributing free pink electric scooters to women and female students this week. Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon called the move a revolutionary step toward empowering women across the province. He chaired a high-level meeting to review progress on the Pink Scooties Program.
The scooters will help women with safe, affordable, and independent travel, especially for daily commutes related to education and jobs. Memon said the scheme aims to reduce travel costs, save time, and provide dignity in mobility. It specifically targets women who rely on public transport for their everyday needs.
