Pakistan, Dec. 19 -- Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah on Thursday assured the Association of Builders and Developers (Abad) that his government would take decisive action against extortionists operating from abroad and cases of land grabbers across the province. The assurance came during a meeting with an Abad delegation following complaints about rising extortion incidents in Karachi.

"We have decided, with the support of the federal government, to proceed against those who sit abroad and make extortion calls," the chief minister told the delegation. Abad representatives, led by Hasan Bakshi, handed over copies of extortion slips and telephone numbers of those demanding protection money from overseas.
