Pakistan, June 14 -- The Sindh government has increased its law and order budget to Rs179.7 billion for the 2025-26 fiscal year. This marks a 4.5% rise from last year's Rs172 billion. A large portion, Rs117 billion, is set aside for the police. The move reflects the government's push to improve safety, especially in crime-hit areas like Karachi.

The prisons department will also get more funds. The budget for jails has been raised to Rs9.92 billion, up from Rs8.21 billion.
