Pakistan, July 17 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed officials to present a policy framework by the end of July to provide easy loans for small and medium-scale farmers. The move is part of his government's broader plan to reform and modernize Pakistan's agriculture sector.

Chairing a high-level meeting on Thursday, the prime minister emphasized the urgent need to support farmers owning less than 12 acres of land. He instructed relevant ministries to create a comprehensive agri-financing plan aligned with modern farming requirements. The policy is expected to offer financial support, access to equipment, and training for value-added agriculture.
