Pakistan, Nov. 10 -- A group of senior lawyers and retired judges have written a letter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), calling for a full court meeting to deliberate on the controversial 27th Constitutional Amendment.
The letter, signed by Justice (r) Mushir Alam, Makhdoom Ali Khan, Munir A Malik, Abid Zuberi, Justice (r) Nadeem Akhtar, Akram Sheikh, Anwar Mansoor, Ali Ahmad Kurd, Khawaja Ahmad Hussain, and Salahuddin Ahmad, emphasized that the Supreme Court must assert its authority and provide a clear response to the proposed amendment.
