Pakistan, July 9 -- The Senate Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting expressed strong anger on Wednesday over the failure to provide details of cases filed against journalists and social media activists under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA). The committee has summoned the Interior Secretary to the next meeting for an explanation.
The meeting, chaired by Senator Ali Zafar, discussed multiple agenda items, including Senator Afnan Ullah's bill to ban unethical advertisements.
