Pakistan, July 7 -- ISLAMABAD - A Senate committee meeting turned heated on Monday as lawmakers debated a proposal to include reproductive health education in Pakistan's school curriculum. The discussion revealed sharp differences among senators on whether such content should be taught in schools.

Senator Quratulain Marri of the PPP introduced the proposal, arguing that proper education on reproductive health is essential-especially for girls-before they enter early marriages. She stressed that students are already exposed to misleading online content, so it is better to provide accurate information through textbooks.
