Islamabad, July 7 -- A serious divide emerged in the Senate Standing Committee on Education over a proposal to include reproductive health education in Pakistan's national school curriculum.

The meeting, chaired by Senator Bushra Anjum Butt, was called to discuss possible curriculum updates, where Senator Quratulain Marri put forward a formal recommendation to integrate age-appropriate reproductive health material into the syllabus.

She argued that young students, especially girls, need proper guidance as they enter adolescence.
