Pakistan, Aug. 8 -- Security forces in Zhob stopped a major infiltration attempt from Afghanistan late on August 7 and 8. The operation took place in the Sambaza area, where troops detected suspicious movement near the border. According to ISPR, the militants belonged to a group called Khawarij and had support from India. The quick response helped prevent a serious security threat.
Troops acted swiftly and engaged the militants as they tried to cross into Pakistan. In the intense exchange, 33 militants were killed. The group was heavily armed and aimed to carry out attacks inside Pakistan. The forces faced no major losses, and the situation was quickly brought under control.
