Pakistan, Oct. 7 -- The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) continues its vigorous campaign against illegal constructions across Karachi. Between January and October 2025, a record 1,450 operations have been carried out against unauthorized structures. Upon assuming charge, Director General Muzamil Hussain Halepoto issued clear directives to further accelerate the anti-encroachment and demolition campaign, making it one of SBCA's top operational priorities. Under the supervision of Director Demolition Section Rehan Khan, the demolition squads are actively operating in multiple districts, demolishing unauthorized additional floors, portions, and violations of approved land use.
