Pakistan, July 13 -- Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah on Saturday said that sand and dust storms were a serious threat to environment, economy and human health. He said that the Sindh government was taking effective steps against environmental pollution.
In his message on the International Day of Combating Sand and Dust Storms, the Sindh Chief Minister said that unsustainable land and water use have increased sand and dust storms. Shah said that sand and dust storms can only be prevented with global cooperation.
