Pakistan, July 24 -- OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has raised serious concerns about how artificial intelligence is quickly making traditional identity verification methods unreliable, especially in banking and security systems. He emphasized that AI is now powerful enough to mimic voices and faces, which could lead to a surge in fraud cases worldwide.
Speaking on the issue, Altman said he was shocked to learn that many banks still use voiceprints to confirm customer identity. He warned that this method is now completely unsafe due to the advancement of generative AI.
