Pakistan, July 24 -- Special Assistant to Chief Minister (SACM) on Human Rights, Rajveer Singh Sodha here on Wednesday, visited District Mirpurkhas to review the status of human rights protection mechanisms and discussed issues with social support line departments and civil society stakeholders.

Iqbal Ahmed Detho, Chairperson, Sindh Human Rights Commission (SHRC), accompanied the special assistant, the official sources said.

The visit was part of broader efforts to safeguard Pakistan's international commitment and obligations through strengthened rights-based governance by legal framework and institutional mechanisms.

As part of the visit, RAJVIR Sodha and SHRC team reviewed conditions of the District Prison Mirpurkhas.
