Pakistan, June 23 -- KYIV - Overnight Russian drone and missile strikes in Kyiv and its surrounding areas killed five people and injured many others, Ukrainian officials reported on Monday. The attacks also sparked fires in residential neighborhoods and damaged an entrance to a metro station used as a bomb shelter.
Timur Tkachenko, head of Kyiv's military administration, condemned the strikes, saying they targeted places where civilians gather. "Residential buildings and shelter exits were hit - this is the Russian style," he said on Telegram. Russia has not responded to these latest attacks.
