Pakistan, July 13 -- Residents of Hajra Manzil, a six-story building in Kharadar, Karachi, are protesting after being forcibly evicted when the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) declared their building unsafe. The eviction follows a city-wide crackdown on unsafe buildings after the tragic collapse of a building in Lyari's Baghdadi area, which claimed 27 lives. The residents of Hajra Manzil have spent two days outdoors, as they claim the decision to vacate was unjustified and driven by ulterior motives.
